DOORS, ARCHITRAVE & SKIRTING FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SKIRTING AND ARCHITRAVE?

Skirting is the board that runs around the room along the bottom of a wall, while architrave refers to the borders around the sides and top of a door.

ARE BESPOKE DOORS BETTER TO BUY THAN STANDARD DOORS?

Bespoke doors are a more durable and long-lasting product that can be fitted seamlessly into your existing door-frames as they are made-to-measure. While they may be a little more expensive than mass-produced doors, they are worth the investment.

DOES ARCHITRAVE HAVE TO MATCH SKIRTING?

While this is generally done for aesthetic purposes, there is no functional reason that we have to match skirting and architrave. We can finish them differently for you on request no problem.
