3. Clear Identification: To enhance visibility and ease of access, hydrants must feature an "H plate" indicating the main's diameter and distance from the hydrant. This clear labeling is essential for quick identification and utilization.
4. Proximity to Surface: Hydrants should be positioned within 300mm of the surface, ensuring easy accessibility and minimal obstructions.
5. Colour Coding: Hydrant lids are painted in a distinctive yellow color, making them easily identifiable even in low-light conditions.
6. Location: Hydrants should be strategically placed to be more than 6 meters away from buildings but less than 46 meters, optimizing their effectiveness in safeguarding your property.
